Moulded Memories
Exhibition 2014
Medulla Art Gallery

I have come to the realization that most of my work is formed from my dreams, where all my ideas, my memories, my experiences all merge together into one stream. It is from that stream that my pieces are made intuitively. I engulf myself in my creations in a meditative state where I lose consciousness of my surroundings. It is because of this, that I rarely have any control on what is made with my hands; mostly from a collage of ideas I have in my head and the urge for the idea to become a reality. I would like to think this intuitive process is my brain’s way of remembering these lost dreams. This is why I believe that everything in this collection embodies a piece of my spirit; it is that spirit that brings raw emotions to these objects.

Rocks of Art Exhibition 2014
Citizens for Conservation

I was invited by Citizens for Conservation to participate in Rocks of Art. An auction to fund their present and future inititives. Each artist was given a rock to act as their canvas to do their work on. My piece was titled the Keeper of the Heart, and it was a relief artwork that was made specifically for the rock.

The Folklore of
Trinidad and Tobago

This series of sculptures is titled the Folklore of Trinidad and Tobago. It is inpired by my imagination of the local folklore tales. They are my own personal creations and was my first attempt at working with Super Sculpey clay, which is a synthetic clay that can be baked in a conventional oven.

It was from this series that I was able to make further explorations into my mental visions of the world which accumulated for my Moulded Memories exhibition in 2014.

Mystic Beings
Artist Book

With the love of screen printing and illustrating, this book was created combining those two passions in a personal project. Its purpose was to express the creativity of how mankind has chosen to represent natural forces with the use of deities. In the process these deities were combined into the daily life of the cultures that are represent.

For this project I was given the freedom to do whatever I want to do, for my Studio 2 class in Graphic Design. I have a strong passion in screen printing and doing illustrations, so I decided to create and design a custom made screen printed book that tells the story of for deities each representing their own element like Sun, Wind, Water & Earth and to show how mankind represent these natural forces from their own experiences. I used Glow in the Dark inks, gold metallic inks and a custom mixed blue gray ink I made all printed on Cream Percia printmaking paper.
